We are one of the fastest UK sports car series, giving racers the chance to compete at some of the UK and Europe’s finest circuits at a fraction of the cost of other comparative series.

The Sports Racing Car Club (SRCC) organises the UK’s Sports 2000 racing championships for Duratec and Historic Pinto sports prototype cars. Enjoy close, competitive racing at some of the UK’s best circuits, with selected events in Europe and an active Sports 2000 community around the world.

In 2027, Sports 2000 celebrates 50 years since its first race in 1977. Since 1977, the formula has earned a proud place in motorsport history, combining close competition, engineering innovation and accessible, exciting sports car racing.

Today, Sports 2000 cars are owned and raced around the world, with active communities across the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia. Five decades on, the passion for these distinctive racing cars remains as strong as ever.

As we celebrate our golden anniversary, we recognise the drivers, teams, engineers and enthusiasts who have shaped the history of Sports 2000—and look forward to the next 50 years.
