1987 Tiga S2000 - £27500
This car was rebuilt by Pegasus Classic Engineering at the beginning of 2023 to a high specification.
During the rebuild the following new parts were fitted, Damico Ford Pinto engine, new Stainless steel exhaust system, new fuel cell, new fire extinguisher system.
The Hewland Mk9 gearbox was rebuilt, Koni dampers were serviced and refitted and a new wiring loom installed.
The suspension was fully rebuilt including NDT testing along with new wheel bearings.
The current extinguisher is serviced until May 2025, and the new seat belts are legal until 2028.
The car comes with one spare set of wheels with wet tyres fitted, plus a spare nose cone, The car competed in 7 events during 2023 and is in excellent condition and ready to race in the 2024 SRCC.

Lola Sports 2000 594/SR71
CAR WITH SIGNIFICANT HISTORY
One of the first SR71 variants of the Lola by noted engineer and designer Steve Johnson. It was one of the first three iterations of Johnson’s designs which were campaigned by himself, Simmons and Gnazzo. The cars dominated S2 in the northeast in that era and Simmons and Gnazzo went on to win National Championships at Road Atlanta with them setting long enduring records. The Simmons and Gnazzo cars were later destroyed in crashes and this car remains the last original version of the SR71-A . This car still holds the absolute Sports 2000 lap record at Lime Rock as noted at the timing tower set at a time of only 140hp and rock hard tires and qualified on pole twice at the Road Atlanta runoffs and won one of them . it has held long standing lap records at every track it raced at over the years.
This car was rescued two years ago from a 40 year “sleep” and has had a thorough mechanical restoration with all new safety equipment fuel cell and all ” date stamped” items. The motor is “new”/rebuilt with 50 miles on it and the gear box is fresh . There is also a complete 0 miles spare engine. Car is ready to race and needs nothing other than the obvious cosmetics which are certainly shabby.
The car is a spectacular car to drive. Steve Jonsson ran it last year at the vintage historics and lapped the s2 field with it…in both races.
The real value of car is the massive spares package available which would allow the buyer to race for years without needing to buy anything at all.
