Sports 2000 at Silverstone Historic GP (MG Live)
Posted on: June 5th 2018 • Posted in: General NewsWell, that was eventful! With lovely weather and one of the best race tracks in the world, Sunday’s racing at Silverstone did not disappoint.
28 competitors took to the track for qualifying, with Tom Stoten coming out on top, in front of a clutch of MCRs.
During the race itself, Tom Stoten’s Gunn TS11 and the MCR of Michael Gibbins were going head to head at the front. With neither driver giving an inch, the race was finally decided in Stoten’s favour in the last few laps when Gibbins was forced to retire.
There was more success for the other MCR drivers though, with Tim Tudor and David Houghton finishing second and third.
Taking place in front of 7,000 spectators, our first appearance at the MG Live! motorsport event was certainly a success.
