SRCC – Season Review 2017
Posted on: December 7th 2017 • Posted in: General NewsI hope you enjoyed 2017 as much as I did with an especially busy Formula Ford Festival meeting culminating in two very hotly contested races. I’m sure we did the right thing in deciding to have two combined races at Brands rather than two relatively thin individual grids. It was a unanimous decision at the Saturday Drivers Briefing, doubled our track time and drew admiring comments from several observers over the standard of both the grids and the racing. As part of the AGM – also on 13th January – we will do a full review of the 2017 season.
Congratulations to our two new champions – Tom and Mike – they have both been competing with the SRCC for a few years and their success this year is well deserved. They will receive their trophies, along with some unknown geezer who took the Historic Championship honours at our Awards evening on 13th January. More details are given later in this Newsletter but please do come along and support the Club through our traditional auction, or even better donate a prize or two! All proceeds go directly to the Club. This year we will be mentioning some of the auction items via the Forum so that the odd member who absolutely cannot attend is not denied the chance to compete for, what are usually, unique and priceless memorabilia, experiences and … er …. other things!
